For The Love of Food

Welcome to Friday’s For The Love of Food, Summer Tomato’s weekly link roundup.

This week learn why a knife can help you eat less, eggs aren’t really as bad as smoking, and how to tell real from fake olive oil.

Want to see all my favorite links? Be sure to follow me on on Delicious. I also share links on Twitter @summertomato,  Google+ and the Summer Tomato Facebook page. I’m very active on all these sites and would love to connect with you. (And yes, I took that pepper heart pic myself).

Hi Darrya, it’s diego, your friend from Spain.
Just out of curiosity, I checked out the Stonehouse Olive Oil website (found through your hummus recipe page), and was surprised by their prices (for me, incredibly mind-bogglingly expensive). The cheapest available oil, the “House Oil” bought by the gallon, is 9.5 times what I pay for my virgin oil in the village (which is a bit more expensive than that you can find in the supermarket). Are these prices normal?…
I’ll send you photos of this summer’s tomatoes as soon as I download them…
    Salud!
