The one about response to good fatty acids and BMI has an obvious explanation. (Obviousness doesn’t mean it’s true, of course.)

Your body processes food in the order it comes in. If you’re eating enough to be overweight, you’re probably not eating just good fats. So the junk is processed first, then the good fats are just stored.

I’d like to see this study repeated, but with the good fats served after a 24-hour fast.

what is, if willpower is a false concept, the difference between willpower and free will?

  3. Love this! I liked the link about how Trans Fat Bans are tied to fewer heart attacks and strokes. Since trans fats take out omega 3 in our diet, it our omega 3 to omega 6 ratios are way off. I encourage patients to make sure and be on a good source of omega 3 because A. omega 3 is anti-inflammatory, B. most people are deficient in it already, and C. omega 3 prevents heart attacks, stroke, & cancer by 13 different mechanisms.

You made it to our Easter table, the cold beet recipe (mint & goat cheese) was a hit and I look forward to making it again and again. Thank you 🙂
