Toaster or Santa's Little Helper?
The pouring rain and a deep-rooted need for sleep (not to mention upcoming travels) kept me from going to the farmers market this weekend, so I decided to start my vacation a little early.
The Summer Tomato holiday break begins today and will continue at least through next weekend. I can’t imagine not having something to say before the New Year, but I’m still not exactly sure when I’ll be back.

I haven’t commented in a while but I wanted to say I continue to reminisce on a daily basis about our trip to Tartine, as recommended by you. Life changing dude. More importantly thought the combination of your Nopa recommendation (Louis fave meal in SF) and the fact that you are a ‘proud geek girl’ has convinced my techy fiancee to follow ur blog/ twitter AND take an interest in nutrition. Im training as nutritionist and I couldn’t do that – agh! I’m in infuriated and thrilled in equal measures – but also super grateful and if you ever need a london based restaurant recommendation I’ve got your back!
Have an awesome holiday – we’re getting a bulldog after the festive season. Cant WAIT but have sneaky suspicion Toaster may be more trainable…
