Frequently Asked Questions
New articles are published Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 6am and 11am PT. Friday’s For The Love Of Food posts are compilations of the best articles I’ve read throughout the week. Every once in a while on a Sunday I publish a Farmers Market Update from around the globe (read this link if you’d like to share your market with Summer Tomato readers).
I really enjoy speaking and do so regularly at conferences, organizations and academic institutions. Drop me an email to discuss availability and rates.
Maybe. I am always accepting guest post applications, but ideas should be submitted to me for approval first. Please read the guest posting guidelines and contact me before writing the article. I should warn you that I require a charitable donation to consider your post, and I’m extremely particular about the content allowed at Summer Tomato.
No. My integrity isn’t for sale.
I eat at a lot of amazing restaurants and keep a running list of my favorites over at my personal blog.
Summer Tomato was designed by the talented team over at Grain & Mortar. They are my heroes.
I’m very much indebted to Peter Samuels for taking my head shot and making me look so fabulous. See more of his incredible work at petersamuels.com
Ads on Summer Tomato are handled by the folks over at SAY Media. Talk to them, not me, if you want to advertise here.
No, I’d rather spend my summer without tomatoes.
No. Although I sometimes review books, iPhone apps, real farm products and other goods and services I have come across that I think may benefit Summer Tomato readers, I do not accept solicited reviews. Sorry, but you can’t buy my love on this site.
I read many, many news sources and blogs and absolutely love the food and health communities I’m involved in. I highlight the best stuff I find each week every Friday in my For The Love of Food posts. I removed my static blogroll because I found maintaining it to be too much work, since I’m constantly adding and removing sources. Plus I’m tired of explaining to people why I won’t include their crappy links. You can follow all my reading at Delicious.
