    Being a medical student in Portland, OR we definitely learned about the salmonella risks of backyard chickens! (Our lecturer also said the availability of chicken feed is driving the dramatic increase in the city’s rat population.)

    What can I do to help reduce my risk of cancer *besides* eating vegetables and exercising? Anything additional that will help?

    Ugh that work at home article is bad. I didn’t make it past the first sentence of the third paragraph. I feel like the “everyone is a freelancer these days” movement is really killing good writing.
