I found the lifetime peak weight article so interesting and so depressing. The way he structured his study and the comparison to smoking made lots of sense. At the same time as someone who has struggled with obesity and lost weight multiple times only to gain it back I got this feeling of being “tainted”. Like no matter how well I do from here on out I will always have the negative effects of my prior obesity in me.

It would be interesting to see the same research in 3 groups – normal weight all their lives, previously obese but have been at normal weight for at least some period of time (5 yrs? 10 yrs?) and recent history of obesity

I think his research was interesting in the way it teased apart the variables, but I don’t think it means that you can never be healthy again if you’ve been overweight. There is huge benefits from weight loss no matter how late in life. Keep your chin up 🙂

Hi just wanted to comment on the article about procrastination which can impact negatively on lots of different levels- it’s excellent starting point for getting to the bottom of why some people are almost immobilised by it ( my son) and what approach to getting past it thanks Darya.
