As much as I love writing, there is absolutely nothing that I enjoy more than talking to people face to face and showing them how amazing food is, and how it can transform our lives. That’s why I’m beyond thrilled to be spending the next three days in the CreativeLIVE studios teaching a live audience how to lose weight without dieting, build healthy habits and become a foodist.

This week (Mon-Weds) I’m hosting a free workshop over at CreativeLIVE, where I’ll be teaching some of the most effective (not to mention sane) strategies for breaking through the barriers that make getting healthy so hard. I’ve been working for months on this project, and I truly believe it will be the most comprehensive, in-depth and transformative material for getting healthy anywhere online. And it’s free if you watch live.

    Hi Darya:

    I’ve been listening to the Creative Live class while working and love it. I made a small change by switching from the daily everything bagel with cream cheese to sunny side eggs with hash browns, whole grain toast and coffee (it did have half/half and two sugars). I discovered from that switch, I was fuller longer so by the lunchtime rolled around, I ended up getting a spinach salad with golden beets and goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. Dinner rolled around got some Chinese takeout of Shrimp with lobster sauce and a shrimp roll (soda, not good). It may not have been the healthiest thing, but as of late I haven’t eating three meals a day. However, this is the first step for me in adjusting my eating habits. I have one good thing on my side is that I do know to cook and actually enjoy it, and the other good thing is the great information you have provided and for that I thank you.

    I learned a TON from your course. And you were fun to hang out with at CreativeLive.

    One of the biggest “Ah ha!” moments for me came when you explained how our habits and mindset are among the biggest contributors to our health. I haven’t heard this from anyone else in the nutrition space. Super insightful connection.

    Some other big takeaways were:
    – Be mindful! (while eating, while craving, while getting stressed…)
    – Use serotonin-inducing activities to cope with dopamine-fueled craving
    – Our associations with food (the language we use, our environment related to food) grossly influence how we perceive and interact with food
    – How to build habits day-by-day to lead to substantial shifts in our healthstyles
    – How to focus on the actions and ideas that will make the biggest impact on our health, so we don’t stress over the minutia

    P.S. Thank you for sending Nikki and me on a date. That experience definitely changes how we’ll be eating together in the future.
