One thing I found interesting, it seems the cheaper the food, the more it weighs! My bags were so loaded down with cabbage, potatoes and squash that my shoulders are still sore! Just to reiterate, shopping cheap is definitely just as tasty. I made Asian coleslaw last night with tofu, cashews, and maybe $1 worth of cabbage and it was the best dinner I've had in a while! I had exactly the same idea this week and probably spent 60-70% of my usual budget. One thing I found interesting, it seems the cheaper the food, the more it weighs!
